Happy Monday, everybody. I had hoped to get another blog out sooner, but the world was against me on that one. I had significant issues with my ISP last week, which impacted my ability to do my "real job", as well as any blogging. But all is well now, so let's get back to it, shall we?
I'm just going to give an update on what I am currently working on for today's blog. For the most part, that means the first draft of book five. As of this writing, I have completed the first seven chapters and am well underway on the eighth. I can already tell this is going to be a short draft with lots of filling in to do later. It's actually the opposite of book four, which has quite a long first draft. In other news, my editor will begin work on the copyedit of the first book two weeks from today on July 6th. I hope to finish this draft of book five around the same time she completes her copyedit, so I can devote my full time and attention to making the necessary adjustments. That book will most likely be my main focus until November when I try to crank out book six for NaNoWriMo. Once edits are done, I will have to get to work on formatting the final products and obtaining cover art. There are a few other smaller steps, of course (obtain ISBN, set up pre-orders, etc.). In other news, I have also started up a Youtube channel. I am not 100% certain exactly what type of content I will feature there yet; let me know you have any requests.
