Welcome to my blog, where I will occasionally share news, thoughts on the writing/publishing process, or any other inane dribble that creeps into my mind. Enjoy!

Welcome back! It seems like it's been forever since I posted a blog. In reality, it's only been two weeks. Things have been crazy for me the last few weeks, but we just have to get through such times, don't we?

I've been plotting my next few months, and I've conceived a fun new project I am going to undertake. Because I don't have enough on my plate, right? I was sitting at my desk, trying to get through my day job without ripping out what little remains of my hair, when the idea occurred to me. What was the only thing keeping me sane? The podcast I was listening to? So it hit me, why not a podcast about the writing process?

The format of this is still in development. Early thoughts include some episodes of me talking a bit about the process, but I also love the idea of guests. Being able to chat about the process with other writers, editors, cover artists, etc., could result in some entertaining and helpful content for the writing community. I will be looking for guests in the near future, so be sure to stay tuned if you are interested in promoting a book, discussing your craft, etc. I will post here and on my social media platforms (linked below).

In other news, I just (earlier today) wrapped up my second draft of my fifth book. I really enjoyed this draft, far more than the original, which is a bit of a surprise to me. Usually, the first draft is more fun for me, but this book was a hard one. Having read it and re-drafted it, I think my earlier pain was well worth it.

In my last blog, I discussed some issues outlining my next set of books. The more I look at the three books I had planned, the more I question if they are necessary for the overall saga. I haven't officially scrapped them yet, I want to do more thinking on this, but it may be time to set them aside. Perhaps I can reshape them into a single stand-alone book at some point, which seems much more reasonable for the story I have in mind. Time will tell.

That's all I have for you for now. I hope the first part of 2021 has been kind to you. Make sure to stay tuned for podcast and book release details coming soon! If you have any topic suggestions for blogs or podcasts, I would love to hear them!

Until next time!
