Happy Friday! I hope you are all as excited to see the arrival of the weekend as I am. It's been a long week; my day job has had my attention for ten plus hours every single day this week. It's mentally draining, which leaves you feeling physically exhausted.
That being said, it hasn't been a wasted week in terms of writing progress. In my limited free time, I've actually put about 4,500 words into The Thrawll Saga, which I am quite happy with. Apparently, the limited amount of time motivates me to work faster. It's the perfect way to wind down from a stressful day. I was surprised I could write anything at all, considering my mind felt like a pile of mush by the time I was done working each day. The featured pet of this blog is Sylvester, because it was his birthday on Wednesday. Actually, we don't know his real birthday, but this is the anniversary of the day we rescued him, so that is close enough. We spotted him one night while driving to the grocery store, lying in the middle of the road. Poor guy was really malnourished and didn't have the strength to fight us off from picking him up. He smelled strongly of motor oil, so we assume he was sleeping underneath cars. He took to us fast and is doing great now. He is pictured below (the tuxedo), along with his best friend, Norman. I didn't realize how hard it would be to find a picture of him alone; the two of them are inseparable. I hope you all have a great weekend. I took Monday off too, and I really need it. Hoping to sit down and write for a solid seven or eight hours, to me, that would be the perfect use of a day off. Until next time! ~Pete Follow me on social media! Instagram Youtube
